What sets CATS apart, what makes CATS so effective where other treatment programs might fail, is our expertise in serving the most at risk homeless individuals, who suffer multiple problems. Simply put, CATS has the capacity to reach out to San Francisco's chronic homeless and be there with them every step of their recovery. With a continuum of care, we can help them find the means to make lasting changes in their lives, where they may have been overlooked or left behind before.
CATS is not just one program. We are a network of programs designed to work together to meet every stage of need:
Outreach - Proactively seeks out the hardest-to-serve homeless.
Transportation - Ensures access to essential services.
Drop-In Centers - Address basic needs and establish link to deeper services.
Shelters - A warm bed and nutritious meal open the door to comprehensive treatment.
Transitional Housing - Dormitory style living prepares individuals for independent permanent housing.
Substance Abuse Programs - Intensive treatment addresses the complex problems in substance abuse.
Permanent Housing - Supportive environment with ongoing services helps those with multiple problems remain housed and stable.
Whether long-term treatment or a drop-in consultation, the CATS continuum of care can deliver on the needs at hand.
