39 Fell Street, San Francisco, CA
Our stabilization center provides a safe and supportive refuge from the streets for over 10,000 homeless yearly. With 28 "crisis" beds available, the center is open year-round, 24-hours a day.
Like South Beach Homeless Resource Center, this facility serves as an entry point to care and meets the basic survival needs of the homeless with on-site health clinics, bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities and snacks. Support groups are also offered including special groups dedicated to veterans and HIV-positive individuals.
McMillan Drop-In Center Stabilization Project
A unique collaboration between CATS, the Department of Public Health and the private hospital sector relieves the strain on Emergency Room Services and medical facilities by redirecting clients and cases to CATS McMillan Stabilization Project.
Through McMillan Stabilization Project, these clients receive more appropriate care and attention, including a medically supervised setting in which to sober up and intensive case management to link clients with the right program for their needs.
